Following accusations of sexual assault against the creator of the Emmaüs community, a monumental fresco which represented Abbé Pierre was modified, Thursday November 14, 2024 on the facade of the Emmaüs store in Châteaubriant (Loire-Atlantique).
Châteaubriant: the portrait of Abbé Pierre has disappeared
This fresco has been visible for four years, on the facade of the Emmaüs store in Chateaubriant (Loire-Atlantique).
It represented the face of Abbot Pierre, the founder of the Emmaüs community, against whom sexual assault complaints were filed during the fall of 2024.
Thursday November 14, 2024, theNantes painter Eskat modified his monumental work, covering his portrait with spray paint.
The fresco now represents toys, teapots, lampe, t-shirt, stuffed animals et plante ; so many items that can be found at low prices in this store.
