This Saturday, June 29, 2024, a 46-year-old man died in La Chapelle-Bouëxic, near Redon, (Ille-et-Vilaine) during the Fête de la Musique. During this 26e edition, the man, born in September 1977, died following a cardiac arrest. According to the first elements of the investigation, the victim, who lived in the town of Val-d’Anast, choked while eating, which caused the discomfort.
Body examination requested
Rescuers who were already on site as part of the party were unfortunately unable to do anything. First responders were unable to resuscitate him.
The victim’s body was transported to the Forensic Institute (IML) due to the opening of a judicial investigation. The prosecution requested an examination of the body to try to understand and determine the exact causes of death.
