The Media Library is taking part in the national operation which is celebrating the 10th anniversary of its major children’s book festival this year. Of course, in this Olympic year, the theme of sports and games is very much in the news. The Media Library will be taking books off its shelves and even out of its space to reach out to young people in other locations, from the Parc des Vignaux, to the swimming pool, to the Kiosque des Grands Thermes, to Clair Vallon, the Cité La Passerelle… to share the pleasure of reading alone or with the family, but also to have fun!
The team of librarians has put together a particularly attractive program for young and old, including readings, sports challenges, games and trails, all in partnership with other organizations.
Lalilou Livre, “Sport and the body”, the school for parents and educators for family stories and a “Growing up with screens” workshop, Clair Vallon’s crèche for shared readings, A “Mouv’your body baby” and “Volleyball and Badminton with the EVS (Espace Vie Sociale de la CCHB), sports “Reading challenges”, Byam Le Bot for ABCDaires workshops on Olympic sports, sports stories, giant games, stories in the green space, at the swimming pool… A musical awakening with Julianne Seller, or even a picnic, and reading vouchers to collect.
