Wolverine will meet one of his long-time enemies in “Deadpool & Wolverine” for a decisive confrontation. Expected in French theaters on July 24, 2024, the show promises to be as bloody as it is totally new.

A long-awaited fight is brewing

Deadpool & Wolverine is announced as a great celebration of superhero cinema, necessarily offbeat and crazy since it is led by the inimitable Wade Wilson/Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds). But this new film, if it gives pride of place to jokes and irony, nevertheless shows itself to be very serious in its ambition and will offer, notably to Wolverine (Hugh Jackman), the return of at least one of his cult enemies: Sabertooth (Sabretooth on VO).

Indeed, in a new teaser just revealed (video at the top of the article) – we no longer count the promotional images and videos of Deadpool & Wolverine -, we can discover a sequence where Wolverine prepares for the confrontation against Sabretooth. The latter, played here by Tyler Mane, has already appeared twice in X-Men films. In the first released in 2000 under the guise of Tyler Mane, then in X-Men Origins : Wolverine in 2009, played by Liev Schreiber.

Deadpool & Wolverine calibrated to break everything

This new addition to the menu of Deadpool & Wolverine confirms that director Shawn Levy and Ryan Reynolds have thought of fans of the Marvel universe and particularly those of Wolverine. Indeed, this one like Victor Creed aka Sabretooth were both guinea pigs for the project Arm X and know each other very well. If Wolverine does everything to contain his murderous impulses, Sabretooth gives in completely.

According to projections from The Quorum, Shawn Levy’s film is aiming for a North American opening weekend performance around $200-240 million box office revenue. A very high performance, which if it were achieved would make it the best launch in history for an R-rated film.

Deadpool & Wolverine is expected in France on July 24, 2024.
