In this show, broadcast since 2014 (apart from a break in 2017), Philippe Etchebest set out to meet apprentice cooks and enlightened amateurs in order to taste their favorite dish. The best of them then faced each other in a competition lasting several weeks. The winner won their place in the “Top Chef” competition integrating the team led by chef Etchebest.
Last year, limited by his busy schedule, the latter handed over the reins to two other renowned chefs: Juan Arbelaez and Joann Conte.

The duo toured France to find the best candidates while Philippe Etchebest challenged and selected the young cooks blindly in a second step. It was the young Anicée Lacrouts who won the last edition. Very soon, the channel will launch “My recipe is the best in France”, a unique program in which Cyril Lignac and François-Régis Gaudry travel across France to choose the savory or sweet dishes that they like the most. The trio will elect the best seaside destination in France.

As for Philippe Etchebest, he is not letting up on the television side despite the shutdown of “Objectif Top Chef”. The famous chef continues filming “Nightmare in the Kitchen” but also his new escape show “Un chef au bout du monde”. On Wednesday July 17 at 10:55 p.m., La Six will broadcast a new episode of this documentary series in which he discovers Japan.
