Season 8 of Married at first sight ended Monday June 24 on M6 and the least we can say is that it was rich in emotions. Indeed, the last episode was particularly anticipated by fans who were waiting to know the outcome of the different marriages. Eventually, only two couples remained married : the one formed by Tracy and Flo as well as Florian and Alice. Indeed, we have witnessed several divorces which went more or less well. Ludivine and Raphaël separated on good terms and have now become friends.

Jean-Nicolas and Laurie have also chosen to separate. They explained themselves one last time during a heated discussion. Finally, LoÏc and Ophélie had made the choice to remain married during the assessment but They finally ended their relationship a few months later. Ophélie and Loïc separated because they could not get closer to each other. However, they left on good terms and gradually drifted apart. Thus, Ophélie confided to TV Mag : “The days leading up to the assessment, things were going well between us. We managed to communicate and laugh together,” before adding: “So we wanted to give ourselves a chance off camera by staying married. But these promises did not last, we didn’t make the effort to talk and see each other again.”

She also revealed that she still keeps her wedding ring, but she no longer wears it on her left hand like married people. “We divorced by mutual agreement but I kept my wedding ring and I still wear it, on my right hand.”, she revealed before explaining the reason: “She is magnificent, it remains a very good memory and a great experience. I will always keep it.” However, the two candidates are no longer in contact. “I was… When Married at First Sight first aired, we were in contact a lot, but today I have no further news. Perhaps we have nothing more to say to each other.” explained the young woman.

In the last episode of the show we were able to hear the secrets of Loïc and Ophélie about their divorce. Thus, the candidate explained: “We decided to go our separate ways, to get a divorce.” But, for Loïc it was a difficult moment. “I think I got a little more attached than I thought I would to the ending of the story. I didn’t believe it anymore and maybe I was blind to it”, he confided.

For me it was going to be the woman of my life, we were going to meet, it was going to be love straight away and we would live happily with lots of children (…) There is sadness and it’s still a failure”. However, he has fond memories of his experience and said: “It remains a very beautiful story.” For her part, Ophélie has made a big decision: moving away from her mother to form her own idea of romantic relationships.
