Free evening around a new immersive film

A new IMAX® film awaits visitors within the Astralia hub of the Cité de l’espace. It will be presented for the first time during a general public evening which will be held this Thursday, June 27, 2024 at 8 p.m.

Titled Deep Sky, the adventure of the JWST telescopeit exposes in 2D the challenges met by the astronomical and space observatory with technical capabilities which have, until now, never been unmatched, the James Webb telescope.

Broadcast on a giant 400 m² screen, this film allows the public to experience the takeoff of the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) mission aboard an Ariane 5 rocket, from the Guiana Space Center in Kourou. It then offers a real dive into space, thanks to exceptional astronomical images allowing you to observe the confines of the distant Universe.
