Max continues on the spin-off path with Dune : Prophecy. After the universe of The Batmanit is up to Denis Villeneuve's adaptation to offer itself a derivative production. This time, a leap into the past of several thousand years which is on the program of the celebrations. Dune : Prophecy is adapted from a work written by Frank Herbert's son, Brian and Kevin J. Anderson published in 2012. The story evolves less than a hundred years after the Battle of Corrin while the community of sisters, ancestor of Bene Gesserit. Having defeated the thinking machines, the Imperium lives in fear of seeing them one day regain control. Valya Harkonnenwhose name fell into disgrace following these events, joined The Community of Sisters in order to develop their extraordinary abilities. But when a certain Desmond Hart appears, the community sees its influence fade. A fierce fight then begins against this mysterious soldier who pledges allegiance to the Emperor.

The historical context of Dune : Prophecy offers neophytes a dream opportunity to discover the universe, without feeling like they have missed a chapter. Paul Atreides is not mentioned, his vengeful quest does not yet exist, nor do the characters who meet him. The series also strives to lay the foundations of the universe to ensure that all viewers have the information necessary to understand the main plot. More broadly, the aesthetics and approach of the series are quite different from that of Denis Villeneuve. Viewers of Dune: Part One and Part Two might also be taken aback when they discover the first episodes. We still find some familiar visual and sound elements, like the whirring shields or the costumes of the Bene Gesserit sisters.

- The Imperium is a vast political and intergalactic organization. Great families rule this Imperium and share power. The Corrino family sits on the throne since the Corrin battle. Among the most important houses are the Atreides, the Harkonnen (fallen from grace) and the Vernius.
- After the Battle of Corrin, and the defeat of the thinking machines, a treaty was created to prevent the use and possession of any form of advanced technology wishing to imitate human consciousness.
- Spice is the most valuable resource in the Dune universe. Its exploitation is managed by the Great Houses, it is harvested on the planet Arrakis. It is produced by giant sandworms and helps strengthen the immune system and prolong life. It is rare and expensive, coveted by every major force in the Imperium.
