Faithful to her own style, a unique blend of jazz, world music and classical influences, the French singer and pianist of Armenian origin, Macha Gharibian, treated jazz music lovers to a captivating concert on Saturday on the emblematic stage of Chellah, as part of the 19th Mawazine-Rythmes du monde festival.
In front of an audience won over by the charm and warmth of her sublime voice, the beauty of her songs and the depth of the melodies performed, Macha Gharibian took the audience on a journey full of emotions and musical expressions that transcend all borders.
With an angelic smile throughout her performance, this artist with a suave and captivating voice received a very warm welcome and managed to win the hearts of the general public with her songs which reflect her personal journey and her various influences, thus creating a music both intimate and universal.
Dressed in a greenish blue dress which reveals her original and singular style, Macha Gharibian, whose voice captures the senses, was able to bring a touch of freshness on stage, while releasing an overflowing and contagious energy.
His voice, imbued with sensitivity and very expressive, was capable of transmitting a vast range of emotions. She used it to create an intimate and emotional ambiance, while adding additional depth to her songs which draw on her Armenian roots, as well as a unique dimension to her tone and phrasing.
Mastering a wide range of vocal nuances, from soft whispers to powerful declarations, his vocal abilities allowed him to tell stories and create vivid sound images.
Proving that improvisation has no secrets for her, Macha Gharibian showed great artistic maturity, juggling between rhythms and musical registers with breathtaking mastery, which seduced, for more than an hour without stop, these boogie-woogie enthusiasts.
For her interpretations, she makes sure to use various musical instruments to enrich her unique performance and dazzle an audience captivated by titles like The Woman I Am Longing To Be, Mars, Trans Extendedor Joy Ascension.

Born in Paris, Macha Gharibian grew up in a musical environment, which led her to study classical piano from a young age. She continued her studies at the Conservatoire in the French capital before turning to jazz, a discipline which allowed her to combine her various cultural and musical influences.
