Expected thing, due thing! As usual, Kate did not deviate from her usual birthday photo, to mark William’s 42nd birthday. A photo of the Princess of Wales’ paw, of courseand accompanied by a few words. “Happy Birthday Dad, we all love you so much!”signed “C x” for Catherine and a kiss.

This is undoubtedly the most relaxed photograph ever published by the Welsh clan. A fresh, funny and very informal shot. The future King of England in a hoodie and beach shorts, his children George, Charlotte and Louis, beach outfits and mouths wide open, at his side. According to Daily Telegraphthe image was taken by the princess in Norfolk during their holiday last month.

It is also an ode to joy and lightness, after an extremely complicated year for the little family – between Kate’s health problems, her cancer diagnosis and the immense public relations crisis which shook up the palace of Kensington in March. Kate’s presence at the Trooping the Color ceremony last weekend, however, helped to temper concerns – and augur a new era for the heir to the throne and his wife.

A sign that things seem to be going well on the Welsh family side, the prince was able to enjoy a football evening on Thursday evening in Germany, in the company of King Frederik of Denmark, to watch the 1-1 draw between their countries respective players during Euro 2024.

He made a point of personally picking up Vladimir Putin at Pyongyang airport this Tuesday evening. North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un rarely has the pleasure of welcoming foreign heads of state to his country. For the head of the Kremlin, the country has therefore rolled out the red carpet. Vladimir Putin is received with military honors and flowers. These occasions have become rare for the Russian president too, since the start of his invasion of Ukraine. He smiled and hugged Kim in greeting.
