MIMA’s theater and puppet workshops take place all year round from September to June. The opportunity for 7/11 year olds to discover the different facets of the discipline, from writing and preparing a show, from making puppets to building sets. This project brings together local children and artists to create a joint project around the arts of puppetry.
At the end of the year, they invite you to discover, on Wednesday June 19 at 3:30 p.m. in the Mirepoix hall, the show “On rebobine!”.
A lamp, a rope, a knife, a map, a fantastic character, magical aids… The children are preparing for The Mega-Great Adventure. But in their world where each character, human or puppet, develops their originality, the preparation of the group itself becomes an adventure. We have to deal with each person’s emotions to make departure possible. Fortunately, here when we make a mistake, we rewind!
This unique performance is the result of a year of support for children by professional artists and teachers associated with MIMA. It is the visible part of a research iceberg for the development of a rare and precious zone of artistic expression.
