More than a year later, they are still suffering the consequences of the dramatic collision. On February 10, 2023, Yuksel Yakut, his son Devrim, aged six, and Mila, his sister-in-law who was six and a half months pregnant, were victims of a serious accident on departmental road 372, near Villiers-en. -Beer (Seine-et-). A frontal collision which is responsible, at the wheel of the car opposite, the comedian Pierre Palmade, then under the influence of drugs.

It’s in front of the cameras Seven to Eight that Yuksel Yakut recounts his ordeal since this road accident. “I have such intense pain that I am exhausted and feel like my brain is going to explode.”he says.

“Five or six operations”

“I had surgery on my stomach, shoulders, legs, feet”lists the 38-year-old man. “The doctors told me that I would have after-effects”he continues, before confiding that he did not “more sensations on three fingers”. Yuksel Yakut describes a daily life full of pain. “When I walk, the patches I have in my legs cause me a lot of pain. Even to wash and walk, I have to ask my loved ones for help”he describes.

On the day of the accident, Yuksel Yakut was accompanied by his son, Devrim, then aged 6, and his 27-year-old sister-in-law, who was six and a half months pregnant at the time of the accident. After the collision, the young woman lost the child she was carrying.

Her 6-year-old son suffers from panic attacks

Yuksel Yakut’s son also suffers from serious physical and psychological after-effects. “My son is not doing well at all. He no longer wants to go outside because of the scars on his head, he is in constant pain”he confides. Devrim “can no longer stand the sun or the cold” et “has plaques in his mouth” which complicate his meals: “When he eats, his jaws get tired very quickly”.

The child “had to repeat his CE1 class”underlines Yuksel Yakut, to whom his son’s mistresses depicted the “panic attacks” of the latter, who “can’t concentrate anymore”he reveals.

“I was driving slowly”

At the time of the accident, Yuksel Yakut was bringing Mila, her sister-in-law, home. “She had gone to pick up my wife from the hospital, because she speaks French well. As soon as I got in the car, and I remember it very well since Mila was pregnant, and my 6 year old son was with We, I was particularly careful, we of course put on our seat belts. I was very careful, I drove slowly.assures the father. Pierre Palmade, for his part, straddled the continuous line at the wheel of his Peugeot 3008 as soon as he left Cély-en-Bière, where his country house is located. At the end of a February day, the comedian had a large quantity of cocaine and 3M™, a synthetic drug, in his blood.

Five minutes later, at around 80 km/h, the maximum speed allowed on this long straight, Pierre Palmade swerved completely to the left and hit Yuskel Yakut’s Renault Mégane, traveling in the opposite direction. The three passengers in this vehicle were in serious danger after the violent collision, which gutted the car.

An uncertain future

Pierre Palmade was first indicted for involuntary manslaughter for the death of the unborn baby. But the comedian will finally appear for involuntary injuries, from November 20. The investigating judge in charge of the investigation did not accept the qualification of involuntary homicide required by the prosecution for the loss of the fetus: according to consistent case law of the Court of Cassation, a stillborn child cannot be considered as a person.
