Swave the scriptures

Behold: as the clay is in the hand of the potter, so are you in my hand, saith the LORD.
Jeremiah 18.6

Do you ever find yourself saying, “God, why is this or that happening to me!?” So a vase might be able to help you see things a little more clearly.

We are somewhat used to comparing ourselves to clay that God, the potter, transforms. But we perhaps sometimes forget that to make a beautiful vase, the clay must go through a whole series of tests.

You have to prepare it first. The potter begins by vigorously kneading the block of clay, cutting it, gathering it, kneading again… Then, the potter places the clay on the rotating platform and must work on it for a long time before we can begin to see a shape of the clay. vase. And finally, once the vase is formed, it must be cooked for a long time (up to 48 hours) and at a very high temperature (up to 1000 degrees).

These tests must each be more or less difficult for the clay to endure, but they are all necessary to transform a shapeless block into a useful and pretty vase.

Yes: if we leave the clay alone in a corner, it will probably just become a pile of dried mud… which is useless, and is not pretty!

So if God is a potter and we are the clay, there is no choice. To become a vase, you must agree to go through trials.

But then, we could say to ourselves that the trials risk ending up crushing the clay… Well no, because fortunately, God is an expert potter and he knows exactly how far he must go to make us a magnificent vessel, without risking breakage.

Elisten to the voice of God

Are you ready to trust the divine potter to train you through the trials you experience? Take the time to listen to what he wants to tell you about this.

Praying is simple. Talk to God with confidence, like you would with a close friend. God loves you and he can hear everything. Here is an example of a prayer: “Lord, I dare to tell you: I hate trials, illness and suffering. Yet I want to believe today that you can bring good things out of them for my life, especially for my character. Amen!”

Louer God

If you look back, you will see that you grew and matured much more during those times you hated than during your peaceful times. Of course, you can praise your God afterwards, but you can also choose to praise Him DURING your difficult times.

Aact today

Since you are now convinced that God uses everything to make you grow in faith and trust in him, you can decide today to be an actor, and no longer just a victim, in your worst periods. You can help yourself by reading the psalms of David.

Hhonor the Lord

Our journey for the day ends. Let us pray together to honor our God.

Thank you God, you are always in charge, even when I don’t see it, and you always want the best for me. Yours be the kingdom, the power and the glory, amen!
