    The last prize of the evening, the Félix for artist of the year – international influence, was awarded to Charlotte Cardin. I want to share this with my Quebec audience, because all influence has a center, and for me, this core has always been you, my Quebec fans. Thank you for being there for 10 years now, it’s thanks to you that I was able to share this music outside of Quebecshe said, congratulating all the artists nominated in her category, including her friend Alyosha Schneider.

    Hat trick! The Cowboys Fringants won a third Félix award on Sunday evening, for group or duo of the year. With the prizes awarded at the Industry Gala and the First ADISQ Gala last Wednesday, the group collected a total of eight trophies this year.

    Thank you to the public for these 28 wonderful years. The Cowboys, we are not work colleagues, we are a beautiful, close-knit family, affirmed Marie-Annick Lépine, emotion in her voice. Karl, we miss you very much. Rest in peace my big guy. We love you and you have already done a lot for Quebec.

    As the evening flew by, Daniel Bélanger got his hands on the Félix for male artist of the year. He thus beat Bruno Pelletier, Ludovick Bourgeois, Souldia and FouKi, renamed once again Funky by D’Amour, who thus made a nod to Ginette Reno’s slip of the tongue at the ADISQ Gala last year.

    Halfway through the gala, ADISQ paid a tribute in images to Jean-Pierre Ferland, a giant of Quebec song who died last April. A few minutes later, Corneille and Sarahmée walked on stage together to present the Félix for revelation of the year. It was the singer Barnev who won, he who launched his first solo album in the spring Who I amafter having lent her voice for a quarter of a century to Celine Dion.

Émile Bourgault started alone on the piano, before the performance of Rose Perron and Félix Paul of the duo Rau_Ze. Arielle Soucy followed with There’s nothing I’m not before giving way to Sophie Grenier with Upside downthen to Barnev who sang I try to forgetsong from his first solo album Who I am.
