Between screenings, events, previews and revelations, discover the complete program of the 2024 International Animated Film Festival in Annecy!

The International Animated Film Festival is back this early June for its 48th edition! Still based in Annecy, the event once again brings together several big names in the field to talk creativity, style and techniques.

We are counting in particular on the exceptional presence of director Wes Anderson, but also of Terry Gilliam, winner of the Crystal of Honor for his entire career, as well as that of French actor Alain Chabat.

The biggest studios used to the Festival will also be there. In addition to the broadcast of the new film in the Ultraman franchise, Netflix will present its future animated projects. Disney and Illumination will not be left out with the screening of sequels eagerly awaited by the public: Moana 2, Vice-Versa 2 and Despicable Me 4.

Lord of the Rings fans will be able to look forward to the arrival of Andy Serkis to present The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim scheduled for December 2024. He will be accompanied by Kenji Kamiyama and Joseph Chou, director and producer of the film, which will reveal to us the first images.

Fans of Japanese animation will also have something to enjoy with the highly anticipated Detective Conan: The Million Star, Look Back and Blue Lock: Episode Nagi. Pretty, more discreet gems like Anzu, Ghost Cat, also seen in Cannes, or Give It All will also be available in the program.

Concerning our Hexagon, this year again it is a French film which has the honor of opening the ball. After being presented and winning the Positive Cinema Prize in Cannes, The Most Precious Goods by Michel Hazanavicius will be screened this Sunday June 9 at the opening of the Festival.
