How do we manage to blend into the dense universe of “Star Wars”?

The creator of the series, Leslye Headland, presented me with her concept and her desire to set the action in the era of the High Republic. A period of the saga that I didn’t know much about. I knew it had already been shown in certain films, but I saw it as an opportunity to improve my knowledge in Star Wars. To achieve my goals, I mainly went to Wikipedia, which is one of my favorite places on the web. You can find so much fun information there! It’s endless and we manage to study the chronology well.

In “The Acolyte”, you play as twin sisters who are each on one side of the Force. How did you approach these characters?

When I started working on their past, I thought about some of my favorite parts of Star Wars as The Clone Wars, and the way in which this imagination was transcribed on screen. I think in particular of the Father and his children who are always in conflict with each other, with the daughter on the light side of the Force while the son is on the dark side. This helps maintain a balance between good and evil. In my opinion, Leslye drew on this theme to imagine these twin sisters. I saw them as two opposites, although we will realize in the future that a lot of magic and force surrounds them.
