Wine, music and an enchanting setting: Musica vini celebrates its 10th anniversary in Avoise!

Bring in musicians who, after having tasted a wine proposed by the festival organizers are inspired by it to decline a program in terms of their feelingsand who will play in front an audience tasting this same wine.

This is the concept of Musica Vini. A tasty event which will celebrate its 10 years, Saturday June 8, 2024has Avoise (Sarthe).

A magical trio

Is the Pescheseul castlethat the festival supported by the association of the same name once again welcomes the public.

We have been welcomed here since 2018, after offering the first editions in Saint-Brice, in Mayenne, at the former Bellebranche abbey.

In an enchanting setting – the concerts will be given in the orangery, which offers a breathtaking view of the Sarthe and the surrounding nature – lovers of beautiful and good things will be served.

“What makes the magic of Musica vini is the marriage of wine, music and place,” summarizes Daniel Berger who notes that, for the occasion, the Château de Pescheseul, usually closed to the public, will be able to visit with a guide.

Great Loire wines to discover

On the menu for this anniversary edition? Three concerts (approximately 50 minutes each) and three great Loire wines.

The festivities will begin at 3 p.m. with baroqueand the viola da gamba solos and duets of Lucile Boulanger And Josh Cheatham. The performance will be accompanied (a 5 cl glass is served at the very beginning of the concert-tasting) by a Dry white Anjou from the Rochambeau estate, in Soulaines-sur-Aubance.

Will follow jazz, with the trio of the Franco-American pianist Jacky Terrasson. The concert will be married with a glass of Saumur redLe Puy Notre-Dame, from the Vieux pressoir estate, in Vaudelnay.

Finally, the public will be able to listen to classic-contemporary with Isa Lagarde (soprano) and the trio An den Lond to lieder by Franz Schubert adapted by Bernard Cavanna (he conducted some of his contemporary works), with a Coteaux-de-l’Aubance (soft) from the Montgilet estate, in Garennes-sur-Loire.

An extended dance party

The concerts, interspersed with two intermissions, will end around 8 p.m. The wines tasted will all be offered for sale on site, in the presence of the winegrowers. The wine of the Amécourt family, owner of the château, will also be on sale (PPescheseul rinsered, white and sparkling).

Each wine will be presented by its winemaker, who will explain his work and his philosophy. Animation will be entrusted to Denisa Kerschova (producer of the show Allegretoon France musique) and Bruno Quenioux (wine merchant, Philo vino).

A a dancing parties will allow overtime to be played, from 9 p.m. to midnight. It will be hosted by the South Mayenne Big band, composed of 16 jazzmen. Fast food will also be offered on site, with two food trucks (Lebanese-Syrian cuisine and crepes and pancakes).
