“Here It All Begins” Summary in advance of the episode of June 5, 2024
Laetitia confronts Zacharie
Laetitia receives a text from Zacharie. He wants to talk to her. Laetitia takes Kelly into her confidence. Kelly hopes that her mother will not spare Zacharie. However, Laetitia believes that her ex-companion does not deserve her anger. She wants to gain height and come out of this story stronger. Then, Laetitia explains to her daughter that she wants to go “see Zacharie in a dress which scandalously highlights her, to listen to what he has to say to her, and when Zacharie realizes that she has drawn a definitive line on She will watch him break into a thousand pieces with great compassion.” She actually wants Zacharie to realize how much she was too good for him and how much he didn’t deserve her.
Zacharie and Laetitia find themselves at the salt marshes. Zacharie declares to his ex-partner that he is aware of having behaved badly and assures her that not a second goes by without him regretting having ruined everything. He then declares to Laetitia that she is an extraordinary woman, that his feelings for her have always been sincere and that he will always love her. Laetitia is terribly moved, but suddenly, Zacharie’s phone rings. Laetitia then sees Gabrielle’s photo displayed on the screen. She blames the blow. Then, she makes Zacharie believe that she has not been honest with him and that she is having an affair with Stanislas. Zacharie is amazed and asks her why she is telling him all this. “To ease your conscience and so that you can fully enjoy your new life without any regrets” Laetitia replies before turning on her heel and leaving the marshes.
Thelma is selected to participate in the summer internship
Lionel and Solal were appointed to lead the summer internship at the Institute. Thelma comes to meet them. Taken into confidence by Solal, she congratulates Lionel on the internship. She then invites Solal to dinner at the restaurant. The young woman wants to thank him for being a wonderful tutor during his internship which is coming to an end. Solal accepts on condition that he can invite him for a drink beforehand.
During Listrac’s class, Thelma declares to Solal: “I’m going to miss not working with you anymore.” Solal then suggested that the young woman join the Institute’s summer internship, which would also allow her to prepare for the entrance exam. But the young woman fears not being up to the standard for this exam. Solal assures the young woman that she has talent and that this competition is within her reach. Thelma lets herself be convinced.
A little later, Lionel and Solal meet to make a pre-selection of applications for the summer internship. Solal presents Thelma’s candidacy to his friend. Lionel is not fooled and teases him about his feelings for the young woman. Solal admits to having a crush on Thelma. Lionel agrees to pre-select his application.
Solal and Thelma meet in a bar for a drink. As usual, Thelma doesn’t go out of her way to say what’s on her heart. So, after complimenting Solal’s outfit (who opted for a white shirt), she admits to him: “I like you, you like me, we’re not going to act as if there wasn’t a little erotic vibe between us”. Both surprised and embarrassed, the young man asks him: “So you like me?” and Thelma responds bluntly: “Have you looked at yourself? Obviously I like you.” While everything seemed to be going well for the two students, Solal receives a notification on his phone informing him that Thelma has been accepted for the summer internship. The young woman jumps into Solal’s arms, and as the latter approaches her face to kiss her, she reconsiders her decision: “You are my teacher now, that is no longer possible (…)” Obviously , it’s a cold shower for Solal…
Billie is fired from the Institute
At the Institute, the resistance is organizing to have Cardone ousted from her position as director. Billie brings together Jim, Charlène, Laetitia and Bérénice. Charlène admits to Laetitia and Bérénice that she is the arsonist at BleuPré. Jim clarifies that she was complicit with Cardone. Billie explains to Laetitia and Bérénice that Annabelle filmed Charlène setting fire to BleuPré and that she is using this video to put pressure on Teyssier, so it must be recovered and destroyed. Laetitia reveals that Cardone hides a hard drive in a locked drawer, and that she keeps the key in a pocket of her jacket. Billie has an idea to get the key back, but they’re going to need Carla and Rose, which means Bérénice has to tell her girlfriend everything.
A few minutes later, Carla joins Bérénice in the greenhouse. The latter tells him the whole truth about the anti-Cardone fight! Carla is completely shocked and upset. Regardless, she agrees to help them. Bérénice apologizes. Carla tells her girlfriend that they need to trust each other. Sure, she may have trouble keeping a secret, but she will never betray her. Bérénice promises to tell him everything from today.
Carla goes to see Rose to ask her to invite Cardone to lunch this afternoon at Double A. Rose agrees to do this service for her without asking any questions. She invites Annabelle, claiming to need to talk to her about the Master. During lunch, Jim informs Carla that Billie managed to retrieve the key from Cardone’s jacket. But the latter surprises Rose exchanging glances with her daughter. A few moments later, Carla notices that the director of the Institute is no longer at the table. Rose explains to her daughter that Annabelle went to see Livio in the kitchen. Only, Carla didn’t meet her. It is then that Jim informs his classmate that Annabelle took her jacket back and left the restaurant. Carla rushes to call Billie. But she doesn’t pick up. Right at the same time, Cardone surprises Billie in his office. She quickly understands the reason for his presence and asks him to return the hard drive.
A little later, Charlene goes to Billie’s room. The young woman is in tears. She explains to Charlène that Cardone surprised her in her office and immediately understood her intentions. Charlene is dismayed. Tom, present, points out that Billie is going to be fired because of her. Charlène protests and plans to go talk to Rose and Clotilde. Billie tells him that it won’t do any good. They know that it is she who is behind the anti-Cardone actions and she adds that she has until Wednesday to pack her bags. Charlene promises to find a solution to get her out of this situation, but Tom interrupts her. He points out that this is all his fault. He adds that she is a toxic girl who only knows how to ruin other people’s lives. Upset, Charlene assures Billie that she is sorry. Tom asks the young woman to leave Billie alone and get out of his life. Then he kicks her out of the bedroom.
