The space business leader is committed to the Les Grands Interprètes association, which is preparing to welcome countertenor Philippe Jaroussky to Toulouse.
We knew him as a successful entrepreneur in the space sector in Toulouse but it’s a different hat than the Toulouse resident Benoit Moulas just endorsed. The CEO of Comat, which designs and manufactures parts for the space industry (notably the SuperCam mechanical box which equipped the Mars rover Perseverance!) has just taken over the management of the musical association Les Grands Interprètes.
Created in 1985 in Toulouse by Catherine and Thierry d’Argoubet, the association’s ambition was to organize a series of concerts with “great performers” in order to bring to the public a “musical proposal, eclectic and different, at the level of repertoire and guest artists. The association welcomed the greatest to the Pink City with the Vienna Philharmonic orchestra, the Staastkapelle of Dresden… but also solo musicians and first-rate singers such as Jonas Kauffman, Roberto Alagna, the violinist Yehudi Menuhin and the cellist Mstislav Rostropovich.
Almost 40 seasons
Immediately supported by the Toulouse town hall, the initiative has more than prospered on the cusp of its 40th anniversary.th season expected in 2025. “I will be keen to participate in the development of this beautiful structure, to open music to all audiences, and to promote the association of Great Performers in our companies” declared Benoît Moulas. Among the next great headliners of the current season, Les Grands Interprètes will welcome the countertenor Philippe Jaroussky on October 15 who will perform “Passacalle de la Follie” which will allow you to discover “l’air de cour”, these refined melodies sometimes forgotten early French music from the 17th.
