A doctoral student in mathematics at Paul-Sabatier University in Toulouse, Laurens swapped the calculator last year for the famous silver microphone from “Don’t forget the lyrics”. The show, presented by Nagui on France 2 and broadcast every evening, from Monday to Saturday, at 6:40 p.m., puts French song in the spotlight.
The candidate from the Pink City had marked the history of the show by accumulating 58 victoriesand winning a prize pool of 457,000 euros ! To the delight of his fans, he will be back on screens this Monday, October 7, 2024.
A special show this Monday evening
The Toulouse “Maestro” will participate in the “Masters 2024” of “N’ez pas les mots” at 6:40 p.m., a special program which honors the greatest champions. Laurens, who remains, until then, the 2nd best winner of the game, will therefore have a pride of place.
This special competition brings together the 32 greatest maestros of the game. The mission? Conquer the legendary silver microphone trophy. Participants will compete in knockout matches at each stage.
This Monday evening, at 6:40 p.m., the 16th finals will be played, then the 8 will comee finals, quarter-finals, semi-finals, and finally reaching the grand final.
Will Laurens succeed “Queen Margaux”?
The level of concentration and mastery will be put to the test since the slightest error can be fatal… Every word counts! But there is no doubt that Laurens should still amaze the public with his impressive memory. Asked by Toulouse News less than a year ago, the candidate spoke about his preparation for the show. With the help of his playlists that he listened to on repeat, he had revised no less than 1,000 songs !
This Monday evening, the Toulousain could beat Margaux, reigning champion, who is also the biggest winner of “Don’t forget the lyrics” with only, on her account, one victory more than Laurens (59 victories) and a prize pool at 530,000 euros. A worthy opponent!
