BRITISH MONARCHY – They are together in the same fight. Kate Middleton, who announced a month ago that she had completed her treatment for cancer, met a teenager suffering from the same illness this Wednesday, October 2. Quite a symbol.

As told by Daily Mail, Liz, 16, from Yorkshire, is battling aggressive tumors found in her liver and ovaries. An amateur photographer, she was invited by Prince William to go to Windsor Castle to take photos and meet the couple to share their fight against illness.

During this meeting described as moving, Kate Middleton put her arms around Liz, whose cancer was discovered last January and is incurable in the short term. Her mother explained that Liz had a life expectancy ranging from 6 months to 3 to 3 years.

“They are really kind, sincere and loving people. I’m so happy my family experienced this.”commented Liz on social networks after this exceptional day. The young woman was actually accompanied by her mother, her stepfather and her brother. She is even happier that some of her photos taken during the day were published on Kate and William’s Instagram account.

In early September, the Princess of Wales announced that she had completed her preventive chemotherapy treatment for cancer. “My road to healing and full recovery is long and I must continue to take each day as it comes”she wrote, expressing her “ looking forward to returning to work”.
