The big winner of the show “Dancing with the Stars” was chosen to be the one who will announce the 12 points awarded by the French jury during the Eurovision final on May 11. She also represented France in the competition more than 20 years ago.
Natasha St-Pier will not have left the screens for a very long time. After having performed for weeks on the floor of DALS on TF1, we will find her on May 11 live from Malmö in Sweden for the Eurovision final according to information from BFMTV and 20 Minutes.
The Canadian singer and presenter was chosen to be the spokesperson for the French jury: she will have the task of announcing to the viewers to whom the twelve French points will be awarded during the evening. And this choice is anything but a coincidence: Natasha St-Pier herself represented France in 2001 in this competition.
She performed her famous hit there I only have my soul with a verse in English and had managed to reach a very good fourth place at the time.
A place that would also go very well to Slimane, this year’s French candidate. With odds currently around 4%, victory seems unattainable for him but he can still hope to be in the top 10. Or even reach the top 5?
France will perform in the second semi-final on Thursday May 9. The evening will be broadcast live on France 4. The final will be broadcast on May 11 by France 2 from 9 p.m.
