NETFLIX – Sherlock, the British actor continues to lead the investigation. It’s in Eric, dramatic mini-series written by Abi Morgan and produced by Netflix (broadcast from May 30), which features Benedict Cumberbatch.

Immersed in 1980s New York, Benedict Cumberbatch plays Vincent, a puppeteer on a children’s show who does everything possible to find Edgar, his son who disappeared on his way to school. But the searches carried out by the police are fruitless and time is running out.

He then makes Eric’s puppet, a blue monster imagined by his son of which you can see images in the trailer at the top of the article. “If she goes on air, Edgar will see her on the show. He’ll see how much we want him to come home.”, Vincent explains to his wife. Her reasoning and destructive behavior alienate her from those close to her and all she has left is Eric to help her find her son.

Benedict Cumberbatch is obviously not alone on screen. At his side stands Gaby Hoffmann (Girls) who plays Cassie, Vincent’s wife and Edgar’s mother, as well as McKinley Belcher III (Ozark) in the role of Michael Ledroit, the police inspector responsible for finding the young boy.

With Eric, the interpreter of Doctor Strange returns to the world of series. From 2010 to 2017, he played the legendary English detective Sherlock Holmes for the BBC and his previous role in a series was in 2019 for the mini-series Patrick Melrose.
