Leir pavilion at Mudam welcomes Rayyane Tabet who, through ”Trilogy”, creates a dialogue between key moments in contemporary and Luxembourg history and her personal memory, thus offering an alternative reading of the architecture of the museum.

Lawrence Abu Hamdan. ”Air conditioning”. A dive into the political dimension of sound through the installation ”Air Conditioning”, by Lawrence Abu Hamdan. This work combines 15 large format photographic images and a looping video and exposes violations of Lebanese airspace by Israeli military aviation from 2007 to 2021, data from the United Nations Digital Library. This is the first presentation of this major work in a museum since its acquisition in 2023.

Billy Bultheel and James Richards. ”Workers in Song”. ”Workers in Song” is the latest iteration of a collaborative project between composer Billy Bultheel and visual artist James Richards. The immersive audiovisual installation and performance invites visitors on a journey through a storm of original materials and explores the pleasures of online dating, underground films and subcultures of bygone eras, while addressing the darker dimensions of romantic subjectivity.

Sin Wai Kin. “Portraits”. In a structure framed by white curtains, five video works from the “Portraits” series (2023 – ongoing) by Sin Wai Kin are exhibited. The artist, who draws on diverse sources such as traditional Chinese drama, drag and science fiction, challenges notions of identity, gender and reality through a reinterpretation of the historical pictorial tradition of portraiture .
