Michel Barnier has just announced the new government. Thus, the ministers are gradually leaving their positions. This Monday, Éric Dupond-Moretti handed over power to Didier Migaud, in front of the Ministry of Justice. Very moved, during his speech, he notably mentioned his relationship with the singer Isabelle Boulay: “I also think of my family… of my mother, of my partner who accepted that we put our personal life on hold, to my children.“
Indeed, it is not easy to share the life of a person occupying such a position. But Isabelle Boulay was ready to do it, for love. This is what she said for Closer this summer, specifying that she is also very busy on her side: “When you share your life with someone who has an essential function for others, you can’t hold him back. Like me, who hopes to also have an essential function for others, you can’t hold me back from going to my audience. I understand that the president wants to have a man like him at his side. You have to know how to give the other person the part where he is at his best. Even if he wanted me to belong only to him, I have the life of an artist, and a son.”
Isabelle Boulaye installed at the Ministry with him?
So, Isabelle Boulay wanted to give space to the man she is engaged to, even in a civil partnership with, but not yet married to. On the set of the show Good morning !last March, she had confided that she did not wish to move to the Ministry of Justice, Vendome Square : “It’s very, very beautiful, but actually I couldn’t… It’s not my territory. This is not my life and I always wanted to have my professional life, my life as an artist, my life as a woman“.
In 2020, it is for Gala that she gave more details about their daily life: “I go with him from time to time, just as he goes with me from time to time. We don’t live at the ministry. I like to lead a quiet, simple life. I go shopping, I take the metro. Since he’s been at Place Vendôme, we’ve been a little more interested in our relationship, but I’ve always been someone discreet and modest.”
Two well-organized people, therefore, who respect each other’s professional lives.
