Since the passage of Cyclone Chido, access to care remains complicated in Mayotte, between the difficulties of patient travel and the damage suffered by the CHM, a quarter of whose services are not yet operational. The team from the reference center for red blood cell diseases announces a series of consultations from Monday January 6 to Friday January 10 in dispensaries on the island.
They are intended for children and adults being monitored for sickle cell anemia, a genetic disease leading in particular to anemia, or provided with a red notebook, the document allowing the monitoring of patients with a long illness. Those being followed for other metabolic diseases can also come to these consultations. They will be organized according to the following schedule
- Monday January 6: Mamoudzou dispensary
- Tuesday January 7: Mramadoudou dispensary
- Wednesday January 8: Kahani dispensary
- Thursday January 9: Dzoumogné dispensary
- Friday January 10: CHM of Mamoudzou, intended for patients from Petite-Terre.
Consultations will begin at 8 a.m., patients must present themselves with their health records and their latest prescription.
