This Tuesday, December 31, 2024, a sign at the entrance to the Darty store, located in the Gourvily area, in Quimper (Finistère), warned customers that due to a burglary that occurred during the night from Monday to Tuesday, December 31 , “some display products were missing”.
The theft happened around 3 a.m. Several dozen cell phones were stolen, for damages estimated to amount to several thousand euros. Investigations are underway. The investigation was entrusted to the departmental judicial police service in Brest. This burglary could be linked to another theft committed the same night, in a Boulanger household appliances store in Saint-Martin-des-Champs, near Morlaix.
Several household appliance stores have been robbed in Brittany in recent days. In Côtes-d'Armor, the Boulanger de Plérin store was the victim of two burglaries, one on the night of Tuesday 26 to Wednesday 27 November, and the other on the night of 14 to 15 December. An attempted burglary had also been reported in the same store a few weeks earlier.
