On the eve of gatherings linked to the holidays and winter holidays, the ARS Bourgogne-Franche-Comté insists on behaviors which protect against viruses, in particular the most fragile, and which preserve the health system. Burgundy-Franche-Comté is not immune to the flu epidemic which today concerns the entire metropolitan area.
COMMUNIQUE : If the circulation of COVID and gastroenteritis viruses remains moderate to date, the region has also entered its third bronchiolitis epidemic week.
This shows that the messages of individual and collective vigilance remain relevant, particularly on the eve of the end-of-year gatherings. The Ministry of Health and Access to Care recalls in its national communication campaign that “Faced with viruses, we act collectively”: we wash our hands, we ventilate regularly, we wear a mask in case of symptoms.
The Regional Health Agency also invites everyone to get involved in the new #whyjeledoes campaign which offers answers on what to do based on three concrete situations of daily life: the presentation of newborns to the family, the care of sick children by grandparents, meetings between active seniors.
The ARS also insists on good reflexes to contribute to reasoned use of emergency rooms in our hospitals: do not go spontaneously to a department but contact your doctor first, or dial 15, the medical regulation allowing you to implement care adapted to the needs of each patient.
Finally, it is still possible to get vaccinated against the flu and COVID.
This double vaccination is particularly recommended for those over 65, for people who are immunocompromised or suffering from chronic illnesses (regardless of their age) and pregnant women.
