In fact, these natural juices (without any added sugar or water for example) would not only be an excellent source of essential vitamins, such as vitamin C and vitamin B, but they would also contain antioxidants which could help fight against free radicals and prevent cellular aging.

Pure fruit juices, such as orange juice or apple juice (the two great classics that we find most often on shelves and in refrigerators) thus strengthen our immunity.

As such, 40% of French people consume more fruit juice in winter to protect themselves from seasonal illnesses. In Île-de-France, almost half (49%) of those questioned share this opinion, 44% in Occitanie and 32% in Pays-de-la-Loire.

By age group, 43% of 45-54 year olds agree with this postulate. Kiwis, rich in vitamin C and fiber, would also contribute to good immune health.

Consuming pure fruit juices is beneficial for health and skin. Rich in vitamins E, C and antioxidants, they help fight against external aggressions and oxidative stress. In particular, citrus juices which promote tissue renewal and healing.

In addition, more than half (54%) of French people recognize the anti-aging effects of the antioxidants present in orange juice. In Center-Val de Loire, 60% agree with this statement, the same in Île-de-France, 56% in Occitanie and 53% in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes. We find a majority of 56% among men and 53% among women.

As summer approaches, the quest for fitness is obviously proving to be a concern for many. To do this, maintaining good hydration is essential to staying in shape.

Among the 2,004 French people surveyed in this study, 48% of French people think that orange juice helps increase the level of hydration in the body. In Centre–Val de Loire, 55% of them affirm this opinion, as in Île-de-France, 42% in Occitanie, 43% in Pays-de-la-Loire and 39% in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes.

Furthermore, many French people seem to be unaware of the specific benefits of pure orange juice. In this respect, 39% of those surveyed did not know that orange juice had anti-inflammatory properties. In Île-de-France, 37% of residents are unaware of the benefits of pure fruit juices, 29% in Centre–Val de Loire, 42% in Pays-de-la-Loire, 41% in Occitanie and 43% in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes.

As Dr. Dawn Emerson, assistant professor at the University of Kansas, points out: “ The study found that people who drank 100% orange juice were just as well hydrated as those who drank a sports drink or water, without serious gastrointestinal symptoms.. »

As for Dr. Melani Kelly of Utah Valley University, she adds: “ A major difference between sports drinks and fruit juice is the carbohydrate and potassium composition, which promotes better rehydration and recovery ».

Pineapple juice, rich in vitamin C and bromelain, helps fight inflammation and allergies, according to Dr. Frankie Phillips. Pure fruit juices are an essential source of vitamins and minerals for healthy skin and a strong immune system, as confirmed by Dr. Janette Walton.

Incorporating pure fruit juices rich in protein and vitamins into the diet could represent an accessible solution for those looking to improve their daily well-being.

Study conducted in April 2024 by Savanta ComRes among 2,004 respondents aged 18 to 99, who consume fruit juice at least several times a year. Savanta is a market research consultancy based in London, England.
