Date of last update: 06/25/2024

Call for applications

The National Cancer Institute is relaunching a campaign labeling of early phase clinical trial centers – CLIP². With the 2019-2024 labeling coming to an end in June 2024, the Institute launched a new call for applications in July 2023. At the end of the evaluation process, 16 centers were labeled. However, in response to the research challenges of the ten-year strategy to combat cancer 2021-2030, and in order to improve access to innovation for the entire population, the Institute has decided to increase the number of labeled CLIP² throughout the country.

In this context, the Institute is launching a new call for applications with the aim of labeling up to three additional centers specializing in early trials for adults, while offering them financial and operational support.

By first labeling 16 adult early phase expert centers (CLIP²) in 2010, then renewing this label twice in 2015 and 2019, this time with among the 16 labeled structures, 6 then 7 CLIP² centers with a double label for their activity in adult and pediatric oncology, the Institute has contributed to raising these expert centers to the highest standard of quality in the carrying out of these early phase clinical trials, thus allowing them to increase their visibility and attractiveness , but also those of early phase French clinical research. This new call for applications once again aims to strengthen access to innovation.
