Awakened by her phone, she witnesses the burglary of her store live: “I’m afraid they will come back”

There are some awakenings that are more stinging than others. This Saturday, June 1, around 5:30 a.m., three burglars dragged Christelle out of her sleep, reports La Dépêche.

A ram car to break the window

The optician, who runs a business in Villemur-sur-Tarn, in Haute-Garonne, sleeps soundly when she is alerted by the vibrations of her phone. Their origin? An application connected to the surveillance cameras of its store and whose sudden agitation betrays an unusual movement: “I suddenly got up to look. I was very worried”she concedes.

Three hooded intruders equipped with a crowbar appear on the screen of his smartphone. They first try to force the store door, then opt for the car-ram method: “The window collapsed, the car entered my establishment”relates the shopkeeper.

The perpetrators had spotted the places, according to the victim

By the time the police intervene, the damage has already been done. The trio of criminals, in action “between 5 and 10 minutes”, left after getting his hands on a hundred pairs of sunglasses. The trio had probably carried out a reconnaissance before taking action: “As luck would have it, the suspects went first to the luxury brands and the cash register”, reports the optician. The only bright spot in this troubled night were the glasses, which remained intact in their place.
