The Les Amis de l’Astrada association, with more than 80 members, held its meeting, and renews its support for cultural action in Marciac.
After paying tribute to Fanny Pages for her support during the six and a half years of management of the EPCC Astrada, Guy Laroppe, president of the association, welcomed Victoria Larrain having taken up her duties as director since the beginning of September.
In turn, Victoria Larrain thanked the volunteers for their welcome and their commitment. Further specifying that “if Astrada is recognized for its local and national roots, the project for the next three years would be to open it internationally and become a place where everyone feels welcome.”
Volunteers
Created in 2018, the association provides logistical support for the venue, support for the team of employees, artistic teams and the public all season and during the jazz festival. It has 81 members, including around sixty active members. Each performance mobilizes around forty volunteers for the 21 missions assigned to them. We can cite, display, accommodation, transport and reception of artists and the public…
For this exercise, 4,550 hours were therefore carried out by a heavily invested team. The financial statement presented in balance as well as the activity report were unanimously approved.
In conclusion, from an active member of the association: “Apart from the chance to attend a show, we are part of a fantastic team and the more of us there are to promote the Astrada, the more we will carry the image of culture in our rural territory.
