Concerning the floods, questioned by the mayor of Saint-Clair, René Sabatier was kind enough to take stock of the situation in his town.

“The RD 820, the road to Gourdan and the road from the village to Domaine de Saint-Clair have been temporarily prohibited.

Floods: an ice jam under the RD 820

Three of the 4 bridges on the Le Chalon river were submerged, with in particular an ice jam under the RD 820 which caused the flooding of the Vert boucherie with 1.35 m of water; as well as a drowned vehicle.

Among the ten flooded houses, 2 suffered significant damage.

2 walls fell, 1 in the area, 1 in Combes as well as embankments..

We have 2 very degraded paths, 1 of which is impassable.

The recent developments worked well, particularly at the golf crossroads where the RD was regularly submerged in the past; our technical team was hard at work 7 hours a day. The water cuts and the maintenance of the grids had just been carried out; which avoided a lot of damage.

The municipality has 5 retention basins; they slowed down the evacuation of water initially, given the abundance of precipitation from 9 a.m., they were saturated.
