On a course where the scores are very low (60 for David Skinns on the first lap, -15 for the leader after two laps), the slightest “without” day is paid for cash and becomes eliminatory, at least from the perspective of the won. After an initial 65 synonymous with Top 5, Paul Barjon was a victim (73, three bogeys, two birdies). The emotional elevator was so steep that the Frenchman almost missed out on the cut, finally coming out on the point. A lesser evil. Martin Trainer was not so lucky, his bogey at 17 putting him in (-5) at the worst time after two lackluster days (69, 70).
