Mischa Aznavour, one of the singer’s children, said he was moved to tears when he discovered the biopic produced by Grand Corps Malade.

The emotion won over him. Saturday October 5 took place the preview of the biopic Mr Aznavour at the Cinema Festival, directed by Grand Corps Malade, and played by Tahar Rahim. The actor’s physical transformation seems to have been more than conclusive in the eyes of the family. After the screening, Misha Aznavour, novelist and president of the Aznavour Prize for Words of Love, told BFMTV that he was very moved by the actor’s performance.

« I cried, it’s moving », initially declares the son of Charles Aznavour, while specifying: « Maybe I didn’t cry like I did for Bambi. I’m not the same age anymore. But I got a wet eye more than once », says Mischa Aznavour.

“We love him very much. He was very committed to the role. There were several times when I had a tear in my eye. In the process, he did a job worthy of a César award. »

« I see my father »

Tahar Rahim explained that his relationship with those close to the singer allowed him to collect « certain intimate information and references » necessary to build your character. All this in one report « friendly, caring and trustworthy », specifies Tahar Rahim.

« They were very touched, some cried, others were very moved, that mattered a lot to me because if the public likes it that’s one thing I’m delighted. That’s why we make films, but if his family had been somewhat disappointed or not happy I would have had a feeling of unfulfillment which would have stayed with me until the end. It would have been sad. But that was not the case! », he confided movedly. « At the end of the first week, when Katia Aznavour tells us “ I see my father ”, it gave us extraordinary confidence »said Tahar Rahim about his exchange with the singer’s daughter. The film hits theaters on October 23.
