The draw for 5e round of the Coupe de France, carried out this Wednesday October 2 in Blois, reserved some good opposition for the nine clubs from Indre-et-Loire still in the running. And there will be at least two remaining in the next round since two matches will oppose Touraine clubs. The matches will take place on the weekend of October 12 and 13.

Two derbies
Honor first of all to the little thumb of the competition, the Tours Olympic (D2). Winner this weekend of Beauceronne (0-4), he can dream of reaching 6e round. On condition of winning the derby which will pit it against ES Bourgueil, a D1 team which has just defeated Montgivray (R3, 5-1) and which can also see a future in this Coupe de France.
The other derby will not lack interest between US Monnaie and FC Chambray. Two teams looking for each other at the start of the championship in Regional 1, with a draw and two defeats for the first and three losses for the second. Could the Cup be a catalyst for the winner?
The jackpot, or almost, for Loches
Loches didn’t quite hit the jackpot since Orléans (National) returned to US Argenton-Le Pêchereau (R3). But all the same, Loches AC, second after two days of D1, sees itself the opportunity to challenge Saint-Jean – Saint-Pryvé, undefeated leader of Pool B of National 2… A real and beautiful poster like the Coupe de France knows how to offer it.
FCOT and Montlouis at home
The two National 3 clubs still in the running, FCOT and Montlouis, will have an advantage: they will receive for this 5e Coupe de France round. But nothing will be simple yet.
FC Ouest Tourangeau, after leaving Déols (R1), will indeed welcome Vierzon FC, also resident of N3, where it currently occupies 10e place (1 V, 1N, 2D), while the Ballan-Savonnières club brings up the rear for the moment with 0 points…
As for FC Montlouis, who emerged victorious this weekend in the derby against Avoine, they will host FC Dreux, a team that plays only one notch below, in R1 (7e Currently).
Saint-Cyr and TFC away
Drawn first, Tours FC will ultimately have to travel. In fact, he inherited Touvent Châteauroux, a Departmental 1 team. The match was therefore reversed. Winner of Vendôme in the previous round, the TFC can legitimately hope to continue their journey against a team which has just eliminated Saint-Martin-le-Beau.
The draw did not spare Saint-Cyr, who will not only have to travel but also face a N3, in this case C’Chartres. After easily eliminating Ingré (5-2) in 4e turn, the Blue Star will have to sign an exploit to see the 6e.
