Formula 1 | Bravi in duo with Hamilton for the continuation of KTM in MotoGP?

Outgoing Sauber team representative Alessandro Alunni Bravi is set to jump from Formula 1 to MotoGP, along with Lewis Hamilton!

On Christmas Eve, just after previous rumors that Lewis Hamilton could consider a move to the Gresini MotoGP team, it emerged that the seven-time world champion may have shifted his interest to another team – KTM.

Gresini actually refused Hamilton's offer according to several sources.

But KTM, a factory MotoGP team and also an Austrian motorcycle manufacturer, faces significant financial challenges, with reported debts approaching 3 billion euros.

KTM sporting director Pit Beirer confirmed a month ago that “very interesting discussions” had taken place with Hamilton's management. The boss of the Tech3 KTM team, however, described the rumors as “completely unfounded”.

However, the rumors not only continued, but evolved. La Gazzetta dello Sport claims that Bravi could be brought to support Hamilton in the KTM takeover project.

When it comes to Hamilton and KTM, one potential obstacle could be the MotoGP team's main sponsorship deal with Red Bull. This not only creates a conflict with Ferrari, but also with Hamilton's long-standing sponsorship deal with Monster, Red Bull's energy drink rival.

KTM managing director Beirer, however, does not think this is insurmountable.

“Everyone who wants to work with us knows how close we are, that Red Bull and KTM are inseparable. This has not been a problem in the negotiations so far.”
