Arthur Leclerc took part in half a day of testing for Ferrari in Abu Dhabi, and the Monegasque driver was pleased to have been able to gain experience behind the wheel of an F1 car. He was also happy to have been able to ride with his brother again.
“It’s a pleasure to be back with the car just a few days after driving it in the first free practice session” said Leclerc, who also did FP1 on Friday in Abu Dhabi.
“I was able to enjoy flying the SF-24 a lot more and we worked on a pretty busy schedule, trying different things and collecting data that we will analyze in the coming days. Once again, it “It was special to have Charles in front of me in the garage and to be on track with so many very good drivers.”
“The next step is another week of work in Maranello before a short break for the end of the year. It will then be time to head back for what looks to be a very busy 2025, but hopefully it will be a very rewarding year .”
Leclerc shared the SF-24 with Antonio Fuoco, who will now work in the simulator: “It was important for me to have the opportunity to get back behind the wheel of a current generation Formula 1 car, after driving the F1-75 a few weeks ago at Fiorano.”
“Doing this in Abu Dhabi, just a few days after the Grand Prix, allows for particularly meaningful comparisons, as we managed to acquire data in similar climatic and track conditions.”
“For me, having spent so much time in the simulator, it was also useful to be able to work on the correlation: tomorrow I will be back in Maranello where we will check some of the data. Then there will be a short break for the Christmas break, after which I am very excited to get back to work for 2025.”
