Nico Rosberg, former teammate and rival of Lewis Hamilton, was full of praise for the seven-time British world champion following the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
After a failed qualifying, Lewis Hamilton started only 16th, far from his teammate, George Russell, sixth on the starting grid.
And yet, it was Lewis Hamilton, fourth, who finished ahead of his teammate after a superb overtake on the last lap.
“The way he drove was that of a seven-time World Champion, the greatest of all time, thanks to that racing speed again”Rosberg told Sky Sports F1. “He passed George at the end and George went to the front, while Lewis went to the back. It was phenomenal driving from Lewis.”

Rosberg appreciated Hamilton's pass on the outside: “It was crazy!”
Nico Rosberg, who won his world title in Abu Dhabi in 2016 by beating Lewis Hamilton, also highlighted the overtaking of the number 44 Mercedes on his teammate at the very end of the race this Sunday.
“It was crazy!” Rosberg said. “The way he lined it up, it was perfection. Throughout this section he overtook from the outside. It was incredible. The driving of a seven-time World Champion. Respect.”
Nico Rosberg also returned to his own experience as a teammate of Lewis Hamilton, highlighting the “natural talent” from the British.
“He certainly has one of, or perhaps the greatest, natural talent the sport has ever known,” Rosberg explained. “It’s just incredible. And there's so many occasions where we have the same car, we go out, we go in and you look at the data of what he did with that car, and it's just like 'this isn't even human . What is this ?' And I was also a decent driver, so there were so many occasions where I was like, 'This is crazy.'
