Still without a seat in F1, Mick Schumacher publishes an enigmatic message

Mick Schumacher, without a wheel in since the end of 2022, published a message on his Instagram account this Sunday, referring to “reverse” of life.

Mick Schumacher has a complex history with F1, still looking for a starting place after being dismissed by Haas at the end of the 2022 season.

After his Formula 2 title in 2020, the German was established with the American team in 2021 and 2022. The first season was particularly complicated with a car in great difficulty. On the other hand, during his second year Schumacher benefited from a significantly more efficient car and teammate.

Indeed, this 2022 season alongside Kevin Magnussen, back in F1, has apparently ended his career in the premier discipline. While the Dane managed to place his Haas in the points during seven race weekends, Schumacher only managed this performance twice.

Schumacher : “Life doesn’t always go as planned”

Dismissed by Haas at the end of 2022, Schumacher then became reserve driver for the Mercedes team from 2023. Still without a wheel in F1 in 2024, Michael's son joined Alpine in endurance.

At the heart of a year where many driver changes have taken place in preparation for 2025, Mick Schumacher could hope for a new opportunity in F1, but that does not seem to be on the agenda.

Recently, his involvement in F1 with Mercedes even seems threatened by rumors sending Valtteri Bottas to his position as reserve driver for the German team.

It is therefore in this context that Mick Schumacher posted an enigmatic message this Sunday in an Instagram story.

“Life doesn’t always go as planned and setbacks can be difficult to face,” says Schumacher. “But every challenge is an opportunity to learn, grow and come back even stronger. This is just a chapter, it's not the whole story. The journey continues, and I am determined to move past this. I thank you all for your support, which means a lot.”
