Johann Zarco continues to progress. At the wheel of a Honda in great difficulty, the Frenchman continues to impress and finishes weekend after weekend in front of his teammates. Last week, he even scored a superb top 10 during the Thai Grand Prix. From now on, the objective is clear for Zarco, to continue in Malaysia, as he confided to Motorsport : “We'll see what we can do here, if we can confirm with another top 10, that would be really cool! It's a bigger circuit than the last two we were on, and when it's longer, you lose a little more time; there is a bigger difference with the first ones in front. This is why if we can confirm the top 10, it will be a very positive development. And it's also cool to be here to compare with what we did in February. »
Zarco deplores lack of grip on wet track
Like Yamaha, Honda was able to benefit from numerous days of testing to try to catch up and develop improvements. However, Johann Zarco is wary of his bike's response in the event of wet tracks: “I want to continue to improve my braking feeling. I found that in the wet in Thailand I suffered in that area and couldn't control the bike the way I wanted. And I feel in the wet, in the rain, that it's quite similar to what we have in the dry, but amplified. I hope to be able to focus on working on a specific area of riding and I will try to do that this weekend. » Johann Zarco knows what this focus is on.
