VCARB teammates Yuki Tsunoda and Liam Lawson competed in a mini-race against each other behind the wheel of a NASCAR on a dirt oval circuit.

Already engaged in an internal battle to possibly obtain Sergio Pérez's seat at Red Bull, the Austrian brand has decided to bring together Yuki Tsunoda and Liam Lawson for a challenge in NASCAR.

Before competing in a five-lap race, the two teammates from the VCARB team first completed two challenges to acclimatize to these cars which they are not used to. Two NASCAR drivers, Connor Zilisch and Shane van Gisbergen, were also on hand to help Tsunoda and Lawson.

The two VCARB drivers first practiced from a trajectory point of view before trying to find the right balance for the speed to adopt in the corners.

After these two short exercises, it was already time for a qualifying session for Tsunoda and Lawson, where the objective was simply to set the best time on a single lap. Qualifying proved to be close as the two men were separated by only 0.046s.

Here is the video posted by Red Bull Motorsports on YouTube where you will discover who, Liam Lawson or Yuki Tsunoda, won in this NASCAR challenge.
