It's our family ski week in Serre Che. Once again, nothing is the same after passing the Col du Lautaret. Delivery was less here.
The weather forecast indicates bright sunshine but -8°C in the morning, so we decided to leave on the slopes at 10 a.m.
Departure from Monetier, it's already hot, more like +8. Amazement when taking Yret. There is no more snow at the top, the Col du Vent track is mineral. It must have been pretty windy here.
On the Vallons side, the slopes are full of people, but there are not too many queues at the lifts. The HP are mega messed up, it goes well with the Dancer. Same under Clôt Gautier.
A short passage through a catastrophic forest, crusty powder. Watch out for stones.
On the Prorel and Aiguillette side, the slopes are sometimes flat, even if the Dancers carve well on the groomed slopes, it's less cool on the ice.
Maybe we'll take out the skins tomorrow.
Ski quality : 2/5
Weather report : the expected total snowfall at the top of the Serre Chevalier Vallée slopes is 10 centimeters over the next 9 days. Check the Serre Chevalier Vallée weather forecast for the full report.
