A DGS-Urgent dated June 18, however, specifies that “the closure of the portal does not prevent, in a context of increased viral circulation, the continuation of injections against Covid-19 with vaccine stocks available in the cityof any person considered at very high risk of developing a serious form of the disease, but also of any person who would like to be vaccinated.”
The Comirnaty vaccine can be stored in the refrigerator between +2°C and +8°C for 10 weeks after removing it from the freezer (see the date on the label associated with the vial). As for Nuvaxovid vaccines, the last batches of which expire on June 30, 2024, expired vials must be destroyed “according to the usual channels”, by making the declaration and sending the certificate of destruction signed by the pharmacist to [email protected].
The date of reopening of the order portal is not known at this time. But one thing is already certain, the autumn campaign will be carried out with Covid-19 vaccines adapted to the JN.1 variant (sublineage of BA.2.86, itself a subvariant of Omicron), mainly detected in France and around the world.
For the record, the Covid Vaccine teleservice will be definitively stopped on June 28.
