Since April 2024, the former AJ and footballer, François-Xavier Fumu Tamuzo, has been on trial against the Pfizer and BioNTech laboratories. While he was vaccinated against Covid-19 in 2021, the athlete saw his body give up and had to end his career prematurely.

He ended his career in April 2024, at just 29 years old. François-Xavier Fumu Tamuzo, former professional footballer at AJ Auxerre (2013-2019), in Béziers or at Stade Lavallois, is today demanding justice.

In suit against Pfizer laboratories (Pfizer Germany as vaccine designer and Pfizer-France as supplier), BioNTech and the French Football Federation, the former French U20 international wants to establish a link between the Covid-19 vaccine and his large number of injuries between 2021 and 2023.

“I would like to understand why my body stopped working”

On April 25, the player confided in our colleagues from France Bleu Mayenne. He had only one desire: “I would like to understand why my body stopped working.” The hearing was scheduled to take place on Tuesday July 2 at the judicial court, but it was postponed until August 28.

François-Xavier Fumu Tamuzo was vaccinated for Covid-19 for the first time on July 30, 2021 with a Pfizer dose. The second dose arrives a month later, on August 23. This is where, according to him, the beginning of the trouble begins. He then suffered a series of injuries: gonalgia (pain) in the left knee, tendinopathy, and, in March 2022, just after the third dose of vaccine, it was a rupture of the Achilles tendon which kept him away from the field for a long time. The player and his lawyer are now demanding answers from the laboratories.

During the hearing, the defense of the former Auxerre player stressed that “the fact that pathologies occur just after vaccination raises questions. However, vaccination remains only a hypothesis”, explains Éric Lanzarone, lawyer at the bar and representative of the former footballer.

For the lawyer, “It is a probable pathology linked to the vaccine. Among all the doctors that Mr. Fumu Tamuzo met, one of them put forward the same hypothesis, that of hyper-inflammation linked to the vaccine.”

For the trial,Justice then appoints a panel of experts. Their mission is to establish or not a causal link between the vaccine and his injuries. Now all we have to do is wait for the results.

Contacted, François-Xavier Fumu Tamuzo indicated that he was now reserving his statements until after the deliberations. This was supposed to fall during the day of October 8, but it was postponed to October 25. One more date and days of waiting to find out whether, yes or not, the Covid-19 vaccine could be the cause of the former footballer’s two years of medical wandering.
