Singer Coumba Diallo, better known as “Queen Biz”, expressed her gratitude following her appointment as President of the Board of Directors (PCA) of the Daniel Sorano National Theater. This decision was made official during the Council of Ministers on Wednesday January 22, 2025, under the chairmanship of Bassirou Diomaye Diakhar Faye.

In a publication on its Facebook page, Queen Biz thanked the President of the Republic for this distinction and announced the temporary suspension of its artistic and musical activities, in order to devote itself fully to its new responsibilities.

“I would like, following my appointment as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Daniel Sorano National Theater, to express my sincere thanks to the President of the Republic, His Excellency, Mr. Bassirou Diomaye Faye and to the Prime Minister, Mr. Ousmane Sonko, for this trust placed in my modest person. I associate with these thanks Ms. Khady Diène Gaye, Minister of Youth, Sports and Culture.

I understand the importance of this new responsibility and ensure I fulfill it with humility, honor and devotion.

I also extend my thanks to my family, to the members of my political movement (MJR), to my friends and supporters and to all Senegalese, for their advice and prayers.

To fully assume my role as PCA and better serve my country, I have decided to suspend my artistic and musical activities.”
