Donald Trump, the absolute male, the virile fan of fighting and who travels to see the elite of MMA (Mixed Martial Art); the man who has a holy horror of LGBT+ and has sworn to ruin their lives from the first day of his mandate, this January 20, flanked by his friend Elon Musk, who hates wokism and everything just as much… The pair terrifies Americans to the point of causing some companies to bury the era of diversity and inclusion. Even Mark Zuckerberg, the powerful boss of Meta (Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, Threads), gave in to panic. He began by breaking down the barriers around disinformation and defamation on his social networks, Trump’s favorite sports. Now he has decided to inject a good dose of masculinity into his clubs.
How far will the young billionaire go (at 40 he is 3rd in the ranking of the world’s richest people) to please the American president and get into his good graces? No one knows. What we know is that the founder of Facebook goes far, very far, to the point of completely denying everything he is, everything we knew about him, all these progressive ideals which have made his reputation and made him the idol of American campuses. He put all that away in the cupboards, at least for 4 years. Finished…
No more diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) programs, on the grounds that its companies have been “culturally castrated» in recent years. It is now that Zuckerberg discovers it, as if by chance. A 180 degree turn, a few days before Trump’s inauguration. The boss of Meta magnified “masculine energy» dont «society is full» and urged us to put even more testosterone into the professional world. He assumed this on January 10, 2025 in an interview with podcaster Joe Rogan, a die-hard fan of the American president.
It’s difficult to indulge more in conservative sycophancy, but ridicule has never killed, that has been known for a long time. Soon Zuckerberg will receive his stripes as a masculinist influencer from the hands of the supreme guru, Trump. There is no stopping the founder of the most famous social network in the world, he went so far as to declare that the world of work has been “culturally castrated» through policies to promote diversity and inclusion.
«Having a culture that values aggression a little more has its merits“, he asserted, deploring that “corporate culture is trying to move away» of this “masculine energy“. He tells anyone who will listen that he initially set up Facebook as a tool to judge and rate female students at his university, Harvard, based on their looks. However, the man does not have the physique of a mover, he is even what we called an ephebe in ancient Greece or what we call a metrosexual in France.
In an astonishing public confession session he confided that he was “surrounded by women [sa] vie», since he only had sisters and daughters. He said he discovered not long ago the virtues of this “masculine energy» and aggression while practicing MMA, «a good experience“. Moreover, in June 2023 Zuckerberg challenged his rival Elon Musk to a fight in a cage, now he is evading his billionaire colleague who has meanwhile acquired extraordinary political power.
For the boss of Meta, women may indeed have reason to fear being crushed by men, but that does not mean that we must “say that masculinity is bad“. The Washington Post points out in passing that barely a third of the employees of Zuckerberg’s group are women and obviously we will leave it there. There is no longer any question of positive discrimination in recruitment, no longer a question of choosing suppliers based on the appearance of employees belonging to minorities. The group went so far as to remove tampons offered to employees in the men’s restrooms, according to the New York Times…
When we told you that the founder of Facebook goes very far in the pledges of change he gives to Republican conservatives. And we haven’t seen anything yet, the next 4 years have other surprises in store for us in Trump’s America.
