Andrew Garfield has responded to rumors that he will appear alongside Tom Holland in the upcoming Marvel Studios film, ‘Spider-Man 4.’

The doubt persists. With the confirmed return of Tom Holland in the fourth installment of “Spider-Man,” rumors have been circulating about a possible appearance by Andrew Garfield. “I will disappoint you. Yeah, no. But I know that no one will believe anything I say from now on,” he said in an interview with British GQ.

The actor played Peter Parker for the first time in “The Amazing Spider-Man” (2012) and in the sequel in 2014. He also returned in “Spider-Man: No Way Home” in 2021, alongside Tobey Maguire , who reprized his role from the 2000s.

A triumphant return

Despite his absence in the upcoming ‘Spider-Man’ film, Andrew Garfield isn’t ruling out a return to another superhero franchise or similar studio film in the future. “If it suits me and can be fun. Maybe I’ll have five kids at some point, and I’ll have to start saving for college tuition or something,” he joked.

Furthermore, the star of “The Social Network” also denied a rumor according to which he had been chosen to play Jesus in a Martin Scorsese film, confiding: “There was a rumor. To my knowledge, this is not true. I also like to work, but you can’t wait for Scorsese to call you. He makes a movie every three years, and most of the time Leo DiCaprio is in it,” he admitted.

After a three-year hiatus, Andrew Garfield returned to the big screen this year with “Love in the Present”, a critically acclaimed film in which he co-stars Florence Pugh.
