If you were a Disney+ subscriber before subscribing to the offer with Canal+, you could still be charged. This is what we understand in an email sent by Disney to subscribers via Canal+.

The end of Disney+ in Canal+ offers has more consequences than one might think. Some Disney+ subscribers, who then switched to a combined offer with Canal+, could have an unpleasant surprise: seeing their account debited, since they are still subscribers.

The Disney+ subscription is automatically renewed

This Friday, January 3, 2025, Disney+ sent an email to all those who were subscribed to the platform via the combined Canal+ offers. The SVOD service explains that “ your Disney+ subscription via Canal+ has expired, but we have extended your access until today, at no additional cost ».

This means that your subscription is tacitly renewed, with the Standard offer with advertising. But, as BFM points out, this means that if your bank card was entered and is still valid, you will be charged 5.99 euros per month. This can happen if you were a Disney+ subscriber before subscribing to the Canal+ offer.

How do I withdraw a payment method from Disney+?

If you are concerned, you can remove your Disney+ bank card:

On browser, on the mobile application or on your television, select your profile;
Select “ Count » ;
Go to the “ Subscription » and select your Disney+ subscription;
Then click on “ Cancel subscription » at the bottom of your screen.

Disney+ will ask you to specify a reason for termination and to complete a questionnaire (optional).

To make things easier, Disney+ is offering a great offer

If you are concerned, you will also be able to take advantage of a Disney+ offer. This is also the case if you had never subscribed to the service before accessing it thanks to Canal+. From January 3 to 21, Disney+ offers a subscription at 1.99 euros per month for one year. Enough to have an annual subscription at 23.88 euros per month, instead of 71.88 euros in normal times.
