A new survey, carried out by Discurv, has ranked the ten French personalities with the most sex appeal. And youth does not necessarily make law.
They rise to the top of all lists every year and are the most acclaimed French stars of their generation. As rankings and charts of all kinds flourish at the end of the year, a survey carried out by Discurv chose to explore the sex appeal of French personalities – actresses and comedians. If this panorama reveals how the criteria of seduction remain impregnated with gendered norms, it also demonstrates that the brilliance of youth does not necessarily rule the roost. Please note, however, that the study was carried out from a pre-established list and on a sample of 1000 individuals.

Sophie Marceau: the eternal icon
Iconic figures of French cinema far surpass their younger counterparts in terms of sex appeal. At 57 years old, Sophie Marceau largely dominates the ranking of the sexiest female personalities of the year 2024, collecting 25% of the votes. Just behind her is Virginie Efira, aged 47. Descending crescendo, we find in third place the actress Adèle Exarchopoulos (Bac Nord, Love phew), 31 years old on the clock, with 13% of the votes. Further on, the actresses Laetitia Casta, Marion Cotillard and Sofia Essaïdi follow, perhaps the least known personality in this ranking.
Highly appreciated by the French since her acting in La Boum in 1980, Sophie Marceau often rises to the top of the rankings. At the start of the year, Ifop carried out, as usual, its traditional Ifop barometer/JDD revealing the list of the 50 favorite personalities of the French in 2023. The eternal “Vic” again arrived at the top of the list.
Alain Delon: timeless charm
Among men, it was Alain Delon, who died this year at the age of 88, who won with 17% of the votes. He is ahead of talents like Pierre Niney (35 years old, 11%) and François Civil (34 years old, 9%), headliners of rising actors for several years.
